Roscied? Where could it be?

Hello!
A relative is listed in the 1881 census as being born in "Roscied" (or possibly "Roseied"). I know he was born in Ireland & that his father was a soldier. Does anyone have any idea what is the most likely place this could be?
I know there are various places in Ireland beginning with "ros". Do any of these names have a similar sound to Roscied when pronounced? Or do any of them have a particular link with the English army (particularly the 62nd Foot Regiment)?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Go to http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/placenames/index.cfm

and type in Ros_____ into their placenames finder. Batches of 50 results come up showing all placenames beginning with Ros*******, including the county etc.

The British Army had many depots and barracks in Ireland. You can read more about the 62nd of Foot at this website:

The regiments website has a really useful timeline, which suggested that my relative could have been born in Roscrea in 1829 (when a detachment from the 62nd foot regiment were stationed there).
Roscied/Roscrea - seems possible. So thanks again for your very useful links,
