Please would some kind person do me a look up for Alexander Blackhall born 1840  Churnside in one census and Newcastle in another, his father was George Blackhall.  Much Appreciated. Thank you.  gladys1

Hi Jane, i only knew that Alexander`s father was George going off his baptism at Newcastle Wall Knoll Chapel and was born 1840 unless i should put a request in for the 1851 census and might get more info.   Gladys

There are a lot of other people living at the same address Tait family 8 members  from Northumberland and the Whitson  family 6 members all from Scotland

Hi Gladys  have not found any of the Blackhall family on the 1871 census, searched for them all individually but not luck, maybe they had gone back to Scotland? On the 1881 census I found the following;
