US Births, Marriages and Deaths

I am searching for relatives in the US (Rhode Island). Is there  a  US site I can check  births marriages and deaths such as free bmd or 1837 online?  I am searching the period 1900-1910.

Perhaps, Census records might be a place to start. I believe someone has posted a US Census look-up offer on the Emigrants to US board. If you post a query there
with names, ages,location (if you know it) that might give you names of children born in the US and addresses that may help in finding BMDs. For BMD records, you would have to contact the state record
office and a search might be quite expensive, if you don't have exact details about the people you are trying to find. Your best bet is probably a subscription to Ancestry, they have R.I. vital records. You might try asking about that on the Emigrants to US board.

Hello Louisa

Thank you for your kind offer.  I am looking for the marriage of Nancy Vickers born 1880 in Blackburn, Lancs daughter of Thomas Vickers.  She emigrated  alone to Rhode Island in 1903 where she married and had at least one daughter.  That is about all we know.
I hope this is enought to go on.

I'm sorry but I can't find any marriage information for you and the only Nancy Vickers I can find in the 1910 census were born in the US, so she might have married prior to that.
