Hi All

Looking for information on WW1 casualty Lance Serjeant Alfred Hodges reg no 400 Leinster Regiment   killed on the 10th August 1915. I know that he is mentioned on the Leiglinbridge Memorial Gardens and on the Carlow Great War Memorial. If  anyone is related or can give any info/pictures it would be warmly welcome.

Regards
Lancejack

Hello Lancejack,

The Hodges surname doesn't appear in Griffiths Valuation extracts for Carlow 1852-53.

My grandfather was John Briscoe Hodges Alfred's Brother. Unfortunately, I don't have access to any photo's or any other info than what you already have. My father may have some photos stuck away somewhere I'll have to ask him.

Welcome to RootsChat Carol.
Mike's email address is no longer working (see under Lancejack24) and he hasn't been on RootsChat since 2011, so will not get an email about your post.

Alfred's will is on the Nations Archives site. It gives his mother as Kate and address as Tullow St.
