nighean,

I've sent you a few emails, a couple with attachments, plus an invite to my site.

It might be that they will go into your SPAM / JUNK folder so you might want to check there if you don't receive them.

Dave I think I've been in touch with you in the past.  I also have the Cornelius Fortune from Innerwick in my tree (born 1718) and his wife, Jean Nisbet, born 27 March 1715 in Athelstaneford.  I seem to recall you had an Athelstaneford connection in your tree so maybe ???

Definitely yes.
I'm just heading out.  Only opened email and this message because of the name.
I'll reply properly later or over the weekend.

Thomas (I have as b May 1836, not 1866 but I guess that's a typo on your part) had a brother Charles b1825 - d1895.  That Charles is my great great grandfather.

I believe the Thomas you have as ca1719 was actually b Jan 1713.
Parents: John Fortune and Elspeth Johnston m1710 Innerwick.
(I don't think I had absolute proof of this)

So, it would seem that your wife and I are blood relations.

I have quite a lot of information on the Fortunes, some verified by me - some provided by others that I've not checked yet.  Happy to share if you want to PM me your contact email.

Gillian, I appear to have missed this comment.  Apologies.
My memory is terrible so I don't recall specific detail of our previous contact.
Same thing applies to you, if you want to PM me with a contact email, I'll happily share any info I have - if I didn't do so previously.

Hi Dave
I don’t know if you are still interested in finding out information regarding Cornelius Fortune Thomson
I am researching into my family tree as Cornelius is my great grandfather & noticed your post when doing my research.
