Little Harrowden - Langley - 1662
« on: Sunday 01 July 07 14:52 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the parents of John Langley born 1662, I think the family lived in Little Harrowden before moving to Corby in the 1700's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Colin

Hi Colin/Wozzle

A bit before my time scale for information for Little Harrowden.  :)

You can see the entry here yourself. Just go to I.G.I. on left hand side.

Hi, Wozzle & Sandy
Thanks for the reply, I'm not quite sure what you means about the record coming from the IGI  and may not be correct can you explain?

I have seen this record before on someone's tree that had relatives in common but wasn't sure it was correct, I have the same details, the son John c1662 is the one that were descended from, I had an archivist at Wooton Hall place the family in Corby from 1700's and probably coming from Little Harrowden prior to that so this may be correct, what do you think?
Thanks again

Colin

Hi Colin

If you look at the entry on others it will say Source: Batch No. etc or in the Baptism
you are looking at it has Message: Submitted by etc therefore may not be a correct entry.

I realise it's 10 years since this thread was active, but in case you're still looking, the entry from the parish register for Little Harrowden reads:

"John Langly sone of James Langly butcher and Naomy his wife was baptized the one and twenty of September"
