Hello,

Did anyone ever sort out any old photos of Pontypool after? I love looking at these, and have a few myself.

Regarding the Motto of the Pontypool County School,  'Goreu Golad, Golad Gwybod'...means 'The best wealth is the wealth of the mind'.
I'm an old girl of the 'County' myself!

Torfaen Museuem Trust have embarked on a two year project to catalogue and digitalise old photographs of Pontypool.  The idea is to gather as much history of the town whether it be photos, or old documents and and produce an exhibition and the end of the project.

And if anyone wants to get involved in some research you're more than welcome!!

Thank you so much djunna, I am thrilled to get this!!

As I said in my pm, my Gt Grandparents were caretakers of the Chapel around 1920.  They lived in the house next door which is I presume the one that you can see in the photo.  My gt Aunt played the organ and also worked in the Chapel.

Thanks again,

Elin  :)
