Auckland phone books from 1998 and Tamaki electoral roll
« on: Saturday 07 July 07 06:19 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have an Auckland phone book from 1998 onwards. I have found a person in the 1998 Auckland phone book and now trying to track them down. Not in the 2006 so trying to pinpoint a possible death.
Also need to find a Tamaki electorall roll from 1998 onwards as well.
Tried my local library (Timaru) but no joy.
Has anyone got some or can direct me. Chch is my nearest big city.

thanks

Just had a quick look at the Christchurch City Libraries http://library.christchurch.org.nz/ and they hold full sets of electoral rolls at the Central Library in the Family History Collection.  Years held are
1984
1987
1990
1993
1996
1998
2000-2004
2005
Prior to this they're on microfilm.   They're reference only - so you'd probably have to visit - or you could email them library@ccc.govt.nz  and see what their research charges are?

Good luck

Thanks Fiona for that. Over the weekend and called into my local genealogy centre and they had the rolls for 2000, 2003 and 2005 so was able to check there. The local library had the 2006 so now uptodate.

Thanks
