Link : Canal Boating Families of Lancashire
« on: Saturday 07 July 07 12:02 BST (UK) »
This is a link to my own website for those with boating families predominately in the areas of Newburgh, Lathom, Parbold, Dalton and touching a little on Burscough. Due to mixed crews people from other areas often creep into the pages too so it's worth exploring just in case your ancestor was part of that crew.

Having some Mersey Flatman in my line I have a page devoted to them. I have listed all the boatmen/women found in the Ormskirk Workhouse too.

I have lots more to add it's just down to time and depending on my health.

Hope you find your ancestor and if you do I'd love to hear about them in my guestbook or contact me direct.

You can find my site at:  http://web.archive.org/web/20080705113034/http://www.barrowofnewburgh.bravehost.com/

Best wishes, Val (Gardengirl)

Hi Val,

Have you changed address for your website, spotted the link was no longer working?

Regards

Sarah

Very interesting website with a searchable database that even brings up ancestors of the individuals in an online tree. Just found one of mine !
