Wells st,Oxford st-What county?

Hello,
My convict ancestor James Dooley has Wells St, Oxford St as his native place. Could someone tell me what county it is in and where it is. James was b abt 1821 and was a protestant. To have any chance of tracing his roots I need to know what the closest church would be or any suggestions any one can offer.

Ps I have looked at some of the websites suggested by other rootschatters and have found the place but no detail

think it might be Middlesex. You would get a better informed opinion on the Middlesex or London board.
