Hi
I have Helen Galletly born about 1832 in Paisley died 27 May 1881 Glasgow.
Parents Arthur Galletly married Susan Buchanan 11 May 1828 Middle Church Paisley (source IGI). Have searched the IGI and Scotlands People but cannot find any further information on Arthur and Susan.
Have tried all the different spellings but obviously missing some varient somewhere.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Liz

Hi Mike

Just want to update the info from my original post in August 2007.

John Edmund Galletly turns out to be John EDWIN and he was born in OZ.  However his father Peter was the migrant, don't know when and which ship yet but he was born in 1838 in Perth and I think his parents were John Galletly & Ann Halley.

Cheers

Bob

Hi

I have only just seen this.

My Great Grandmother was Annie Gellatley/Gellatly

Looking at my records on another site (but not at any certificates as we have just emigrated and our container has not yet been unpacked!) I seem to be certain of her year of birth: 1868, although I can't recall seeing anything which would give me that!

And her marriage to James Edward Rands (b. Clerkenwell, Middx) on 20/08/1888

With the vague nature of my information I hardly dare ask if you have any additional info at all???
Rands - Hackney. Bedfordshire.
Griffiths - Birkenhead. Queensland, Australia
Ollive/Olive - Cheshire. Birkenhead
Holt - ?Cheshire/Liverpool
Lacey - Mile End, London. Queensland, Australia
Felix (surname ), Wales, England.
Sewell - Middx. Queensland, Australia
Sapsord/ Sapsford - Middx

Hi
I have a relative Clarinda Gellatley born about 1826 who married Johnston Morton in Clonmel in 1848, they eventually had one son in 1862, George Morton in Poulton cum Secombe, Cheshire, England, she was quite old for childbirth and may have had others before who may not have survived. If you have any info which may help I would appreciate it greatly as the irish records are patchy
Morton - Tipperary, Longford/Clonmel Ireland
Gallatley - Ireland,
Brownbill - Liverpool, Prescot
Burberry - Dorking
Bonnyman - Elgin/Buckie/St Albans
