Hello,

I would appreciate a copy of Percy Wood’s 1881 birth certificate,
I don’t know if there is a family connection yet.
I do have connections with a WOOD family that lived in Leeds.

I’m interested to know if you’ve come across or are related to any of the following people :-

William Henry Wood born in the 1890’s, he married Emma Gertrude TAYLOR at Leeds in 1926,
As far as I know, he had the following brothers and sister :-
Herbert, Arthur and Florrie, their parents were William Wood and Susannah Wood (nee SHAW).

The following names may be connected :-
BREWSTER, SHAW, WOOD, GOMERSALL, KELSEY, WELLS, GARNER, JOYNSON, THORPE, RINGROSE, ROTHSCHILD, LISTER, TAYLOR, THOMPSON, TURNER, CARAFFI, CARAFFA, KINGSMAN, ANNABLE, KNIGHT.

Yours Sincerely – Ron

Hello,

First time user of this site, so unsure if my posting is successful. Anyway, here goes.

My mother was the daughter of William Henry Wood and the niece of Herbert. Ron, she was therefore your cousin!

See, still getting to grips with it. It would appear that Woodentop is my mother's cousin!

I am doing a family tree for some friend and William Henry wood has come up as a blind piano tuner.with 4 children .3 of them to Mary Jane Curle which are Eva Gertrude 1883-1934,Percy wood 1882-?,Joseph Henry 1877-1957.Then remarried after Mary Jane .His new wife was harriet elizabeth ? and had another child Ethel May 1888..does this fit in with any of your findings ? would like a copy of Percys certificate please.I dont think the william henry the people are mentioning on this site is the same man ..cheers

is this the same percy wood?  Percy and Eva wood had 4 children  1 of them named Frank (my grandfather) came to Canada from England aprox. Oct 2 , 1903 on the ship Tunisian arrived in Montreal  if it is  and you have any more of the family history i would love to hear from you...  i have a pic of Percy and Eva in their later years i assume it was taken in Canada
