Happy new year Penny.

You will notice that there are marks across the picture. I assume this is because you may be

able to buy the photo when the site is up and running.

It's a new site which I only came across today.

                   Kind regards,

                                         Tomkin

Thank you so much for the new photo of the 'Pindar Oaks Inn'.  My 2 Gt Grandparents and their family were living there at the time of the 1871 census -John Harper Inn Keeper in 1871 and John Harper Tile and Brick maker in the 1881 census. It's great to have a photo of the inn although the appearance must have changed since 171/1881.

Thanks again.  I look forward to getting a proper photo of it when it is available.

Peramar   Researching my family my Great Great Uncle Charles Baker was a boarder there on the 1871 census. His occupation was a Carter so whether or not it was an overnight stop of he lived there I don't know

Hi Penny

I guess we will never know that answer as to whether he was a long stay boarder or just happened to be passing through at the time of the census.  But our ancestors definitely knew each other didn't they?
