Just realised there is another post where most of this info has already been found for you http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=248602.90. It is always helpful to post links to other relevant threads to save duplication of effort and time.

From reading the other thread, if there is a possibility that the Cordners were Roman Catholic, then unfortunately the Parish Records of baptism for the area Clady Beg was in, seem to start c 1844:

The information on William's later life has been found.  I apologise if I was not making it sufficiently clear that I was looking for his baptism.

Tithes Applotment Books  1823-1837 The relevant original books are in the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) Belfast

That is a super lead - I knew the 1864 Griffiths Valuation didn't help, but I now tried searching for tithes and found a link to a survey for the Earl of Charlemont in 1827 naming lessees William & Thomas Corner and a neighbour Francis Bell  Schedule of tenants - FHL film 1279357.  Parcel map PRONI ref  T/1176/5. in Ballylane.  According to the (infallible?) Wiki, Ballylane is in Kilclooney parish in Armagh, which should help narrow the search.

A couple of years ago I had a sub to GenesReunited and checked for Cordners with no success, but it could be worth another look to check if there are recent updates.

Many thanks
Philip

For scotmum

I have re-read my reply and I hope it did not come across as rude - because that certainly was not my intention.

When I screw up in public I make amends in public - so if my post did read as less than courteous, please accept my apologies.

It may be a red herring, but FindMyPast has indexed, from Ireland Diocesan And Prerogative Marriage Licence Bonds Indexes 1623-1866, an 1831 entry for a William Corner and Sarah Bell, diocese of Armagh.
