Sheila you nailed it.  This is great! The family born to Thomas and Mary are the Tarpys I have been searching.  I am positive it is them because I have had a copy of the baptism certificate of the younger Thomas and the dates are correct. Unfortunately the certificate was lost in a house fire but I remember the date.  Thomas Tarpy (son) is my Mom's grandfather and is buried in my hometown. Geez all this time and I never knew about the twins. Where did you find this info? Most of the sites where I try to do research cost money?
