The IGI gives Rebecca's baptism as Rebecca Greenwood Boisson (b 1823 dau John and Sarah), so this is probably relevant:

John Boisson m Sarah Greenwood  1803 Stepney.

This, and other baptisms, is on IGI.

There is a baptism for James Boisson, 1780, Shoreditch on IGI, son of Stephen and Susanna Boisson. Amongst their other children is a John, b 1782; James and John may therefore be brothers.

Hi there,
This is not the Frederick Boisson who emigrated to South Africa at all ? I have a Frederick Boison married to a Lucy Harrison in South Africa. My Frederick was also born around 1851. Not my direct line but of interest.

Hi Rutti Tutti

Thanks for contacting me.  The man I was looking for was Frederick James BOISSON born ca 1851 and died 17 Aug 1932, who married Lucy Anne HARRISON on 14 Dec 1887 in Durban, South Africa.  Lucy was born on 12 Apr 1868 and died on 22 Jun 1954.  They had ten children between 1888 and 1909.

Are we both referring to the same person?

Regards,

Robin

An old thread I know but I'm looking for help with the Harrison and Shell family of South Africa. Any information regarding the links betwen Lucy Anne and her brother in law John Henry Shell aka Polley would be appreciated.
