Hello Paul,
In the 1871 Census for Llangunnock
RG10/ 5495 folio 43 p. 3 schedule 12
Tynewydd, Llangunnock, Carmarthenshire
Henry Jones H M 51 Shoemaker, Llangunnock
Mary Jones Wife M 53 Shoemakers wife, Llangunnock
William Jones son un 11 Shoemakers son, Llangunnock
Thomas Jones son 9 scholar, Llangunnock
Henry Jones son 7 scholar, Llangunnock
Mary Anne daug 3 ---, Llangunnock
The next entry is a bit speculative since an entry for Mary Jones is indexed age 74 but looking at the original, 74 could just be a clumsy 79 and no other Mary Jones in the index was suitable.
RG10/ 5512 folio 93 p. 9 schedule 47
Little Pencoed, Lawrenny, Pembrokeshire
Richard Morgans H un 53, Farmer 210 acres, employing 2 lab, 2 boys
& 2 orchards, born Laugharne, Carmarthenshire
Mary Jones Sister widow74(9?)housekeeper,Laugharne,Carmarthenshire
William N Morgans nephew un 34 Farmer, Carew, Pembrokeshire
Plus 4 servants
You should endeavour to view this yourelf and make your own judgement but Richard Morgan did not seem to be on the 1881 and Little Pencoed was being farmed by a Thomas Brinn in 1881, so my bet is Richard died
and Mary went to live with her son Henry. It would be worth looking for a will.
Hope this is helpful, regards, jackh
