This Collins family originally from Sitrakeel townland (have notes somewhere on older details)- attended Ballykelly Presbyterian Church. Moved to Derryork in later years. Buried Ballykelly Church of Ireland.
Do you know where Mary was from?

The marriage was in Lecumpher Presbytrerian in Desertmartin so I take it she was from that area.

Don't think Mary is Sistrakeel family but will make a note in case I do find anything about her.

Hi to all the relatives of my grandmother Matilda Collins and thank for your research which has filled in gaps in my tree. Matilda married my grandfather, Francis Augustine on 03 June 1914.  I did visit another relative in Ballinasloe in the early 1960s but can't remember names. Interestingly their eldest son was named David Pollock Hughes and his son confirmed a Bangor connection with the Pollock name.
At the time of posting, 2 of Matilda's children are alive, a daughter and son. I spoke to the daughter last year who told me that her mother's sister were all nurses. If I find out any further information I will post it.

Hello, vaddegan. Lovely to see another of the Collins family on this thread and it looks like you, NA and derryork must be related.
Strangely enough about a week ago we had the old photos of Derryork house and Collins family house and were talking about this branch of the family.
Since I started this thread I've been able to add quite a bit more details to the family tree but lots of questions still remain.

Hi,
It may be of interest that the farmhouse which the Collins family moved to in Derryork had perviously been owned by my Great Grandfather's brother, Robert Morrison.

Indeed, we are cousins who have lost touch since those after Christmas parties in Granny Hughes's house in Belfast in the late 50s and early 60s. I have found photo of Granny, Matilda , with her husband , Gus, outside the family shop in Divis Street, Belfast, which I will post when permitted. We knew very little of the Collins family, we were told they all emigrated to America and lost touch but it seems there could be quite an extended family on my grandmother's side.

I am not sure if this chat is still active but I have some photographs I believe are of the Collins family farmhouse at Drumsurn and am trying to locate the house now on Google, if anyone can help?
