I'm afraid the only way to view the details of a birth certificate is to actually purchase it, and I'm pretty sure that overseas customers can now order online. See the site for details  - http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

The only other ways to find parents is to find them in a census and then track down the mother's maiden name (can be a hit and miss affair), or find the baptism in parish records. If you have an LDS centre near you, you could possibly order in the film. However Walsall is a large area and you would have a lot of parishes to wade through!

Probably less costly and easier to order the certificate  ;)
