We have just added another batch of marriage indexes to the North
Wales BMD database; and we would like to thank Mrs Noelle Baston, the
Superintendent Registrar at Hawarden, who has given us every
assistance in making these indexes available.

With this upload, we have also implemented Ian's new marriage search
feature. This is going to be a very useful enhancement!

Here are the details of today's update:

We have just added the following indexes to the North Wales BMD
database:

Newtown Registration District :

Births - Kerry sub-district
1837 - 1923
(5,871 entries)
(Kerry sub-district was abolished in 1923)

Births - Llanwnog sub-district
1837 - 1935
(12,390)
(Llanwnog sub-district was abolished in 1935)

Births - Newtown sub-district
1837 - 1950
(18,450 entries)

Births - Tregynon sub-district
1837 - 1950
(7,105 entries)

All the births registered in the ancient county of Montgomery, between
the years 1837 and 1950, are now on the North Wales BMD website.

Bryn Ellis (the Montgomeryshire co-ordinator for the project) and his
team of volunteers deserve a big vote of thanks for all their work in
photocopying, transcribing and checking all these index books!

Civil Marriages - Bala Registration District   1839 - 1915   1,901 entries

The parishes in the Bala registration district are:

Llandderfel
Llanfor / Llanfawr
Llangower / Llangywer
Llanycil (including the town of Bala)
Llanuwchllyn

Penllyn (Bala) Registration District

Deaths: 1837 - 1950 (11,816 entries)

The indexes to all the births and deaths registered in Bala
registration district, from 1837 to 1950, are now on the North Wales
BMD database.

Once again, our thanks to the volunteers who have photographed,
transcribed, and checked all these index books; and to the
Superintendent Registrar at Bala, for her willing assistance with the
project.
