Help finding grave
« on: Thursday 16 December 04 03:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I could use some help in finding the burial spot of my greatgrand father, Edward Rutter, who died on 1881 in the Wisbech area of Cambridgeshire.
Also, I would appreciate knowing where his father, Charles and his mother are burried.

Do you have the death certificate of Edward? That would give a clue as to where he might be buried.
Likewise for his parents but it's a bit difficult for anyone to assist without names!
Death certificates can be ordered online from the GRO at Southport and indexes can be found (incomplete) at

http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

or for the complete indexes you can use a pay per view site http://www.1837online.com/Trace2web/

Once you have their places of death, others with local knowledge may be able to advise you on possible cemeteries.

Regards

David
