According to the IGI

JOhn Quarry Married Mary Hardie on the 16th November 1833 Bride Isle Of Man

And Mary Appears to Have been Christened on the 11th May 1810 Ramsay Parents William Hardie and Margaret..

Although I don't seem to be able to place them on the 1841 census..

The daughter Isabella was christened the following
ISABELLA AGNES CHRISTIAN QUARRY on the  13 JAN 1856   Bride, Isle Of Man, England  Mary Using her Mother' Margaret's Maiden Name for one child

sometimes mothers used there maiden name in the childs name a tradition carried on for years there fore looks like this is yours too..

WILLIAM HARDY
Spouse:  MARGARET CHRISTIAN  Family
Marriage:  24 JUN 1809   Maughold, Isle Of Man, England  ( Mary's Parents)

Hope it helps

Angie,
Thank you so much for doing the lookups, I really appreciate it, you have given me another couple of names again, I had also only found    one child John, the family moved to New Zealand in 1863, I have them there.
I had no idea that John snr, was born in Scotland, again, another area to start looking

My great grandfather, Allan Thomas Quarrie came from the isle of man. He lived in Kirkby nr Liverpool, which was a small farming village at that time. He married Kate Appleton in  1889 and they had   8 children. They were Dick Joe Ted Allan Bill Fred Maggie Annie and Alice. I think they had two more other children, but they died in infancy.

A second cousin on the Appleton side of the family has traced the start of the families back to 1748.

I hope this will be of some help to you!
