Burranhill

Can anyone help me with where Burranhill might have been back before 1786.

I see that there might be an area near Kingstown Carlisle that might be it.  I was hoping that someone might know of an area in Dumfries called Burranhill at some time.

This place name has been extracted from information on the Burgess Roll for Dumfries.  Any help or advice would be great.

Betty

Problem solved.

The following is just information in case anyone decides to have a look for it.

It is in Mouswald.  I found it on a Burgess Roll which indicated Burranhill was Mouswald.  I then managed to find it on an old OS map as Burronhill.  It is now spelt  Burnhill.
