Hi Jen,

Found these HUMBLES while trawling the Chester-le-Street '91 census.

Front Street, Chester-le-Street

Diolch! ~ Thank you for making the effort in posting these details. At the moment I cannot see the connection to these.

I have a John Humble c.1836 whose son was a Joseph c.1868 Kyo Durham. Joseph in turn had a son Thomas Humble c.1901 among other siblings. Thomas married a Thomasina Hutchinson around the 1920's She was possibly from Gateshead.

Even though I cannot connect with the names, thanks again for your efforts.

 ;)

I went to school with a Mona Humble, and we graduated from Blaydon West School, then Blaydon East Modern School (no longer is existance) in 1952.  On my next visit to Blaydon this Fall I will attempt to make contact for you.

Thank you very much.
The surname is my husband's family. His grandfather is Pastor Robert B Humble who now lives in Wales. He had many Sisters but only one brother (a twin) who died in childbirth/infancy.

Would be interested in anything you can find out.
Once again thanks for your interest in my posting :D

My other half has just told me that this 'Mona' could be Robert's sister. I know Robert was one of a twin (that died at birth or maybe infancy) and his name was David. Robert is the only surviving Boy in the family all of his other siblings were girls.

The siblings names off the top of my head are:Blanche, Doris, Ella, Marion, Sylvia and Enid. There is another which we beleive is Mona but we could be wrong :-\.

I can send you a genealogical report, if interested. I will however have to privatise details on the living individuals.

Let me know.
Kindest Regards
Jen :D

tommy humble b1901 was my mothers cousin and I remember him v.well.tomasina and tommy are both buried together in Blaydon Cemetary next to my mothers grave. They both lived to be over 90 yrs old and died sometime in the1990's. A remarkable couple who had many children and I believe 2 of their sons went into the church. They both died in the village of Winlaton 100yds from my mothers home. hope this is of interest to you.
