Dear Welsh Lady,

Thank you again for all your help.    I found a marriage of a William Moss to an Ann Gibson at St. Peters Leeds which could be the right one in 1805.   I will try on the Leeds list to see if I can get a baptism for William Moss.

Thank you again for all your help
Diana

As Ann was from Carmarthenshire isnt Leeds a bit to far away for the marriage?Or do you know that William was from Leeds?Sending for a copy of Ann Moss will might give you further info on her side or Williams side?

I am hoping that William was from Leeds.     My great x 3 grandmother Ann Moss c1782 Leeds (from 1851 census) who married Richard Jenkins c 1776 at Bedwelty in 1800.     A friend who has ancestry has just looked up the 1851 census for me and it says that Ann Moss wife of William Moss ironmonger was born in Llandovery or Llandwrog but I cannot find a marriage there either!!

You suggest that I send for a copy of Ann - what did you mean by that please?

Diana

Sorry meant Ann Moss ,s(Williams wife) will that i said about in an earlier post they dont cost much and i think you can order a copy from The National Library of Wales at Aberystwyth. If any bequests were made to family members other than the children this might help.No and as a i said in an earlier  post have Carmarthenshire marriages on disc they didnt marry here.

Dear Welsh Lady - thank you again for all your help - yes I will send for a copy of the will I have done that many times from the NLW.         I misread your email! - I thought it said to send for a copy of Ann Moss - now that would be useful and then I could ask all the questions I wanted.

with best wishes
Diana
