William John GLENN- birth?

William John GLENN, WWI soldier died 5 May 1919 and buried St. Guaire's Parish Church Aghadowey. Supposed to be in family plot of James Ferguson Glenn (c1862-1914) but is not a son.
Just got New Zealand military records and next of kin listed as 'sister Miss J.F. Glenn County Londonderry' which doesn't make sense.
Am wondering if next of kin was sister-in-law Mrs. J.F. Glenn.

Don't have age for William John GLENN but am looking for a William John GLENN born either Co.Derry or Co.Tyrone (born 1864-1895- but more likely 1875-1890) possibly son of a William Glenn.

Oh Mary I think you've done it again.
There's a William Glenn and Mary McMullan married 1861 in Aghadowey. If these are correct couple they possibly had:
1. James Ferguson (c1862 Tyrone)
2. Mary (1864 Tyrone)
3. Margaret (1866 Aghadowey)
4. William John (1869 Tyrone)
5. Samuel (1870 Tyrone)
6. Eliza (1879 Aghadowey)- probably the Caroline Eliza I was looking for in another post
7. Charles (date and place unknown)

Normally I'd be worried about births back and forth between Tyrone and Derry but the grandparents were in Aghadowey which could explain it. William Glenn was a builder and supposed to have ended up in Coleraine.

Have to bring children to school now but will be back in a little while. Thanks again.

Thanbks again Mary. With the (possible) parents' names I found several other children. Have a marriage 1861 for William Glenn and Mary McMullan- is this the one you found?

Have just been to check some church records and just when I thought it was getting clearer Glenn family is now as clear as mud!
Now looking for:
Margaret Glenn died age 17 in Aug.1886 (need birth c1869, parents & place)
Samuel Glenn died age 11 in June 1883 (need birth c1872, parents & place)
William Glenn born 24 Mar.1885 son of William (need mother's name)

Just when I thought this couldn't get any worse.... Just got copy of William John Glenn's N.Z. military records. Parents given as William & Mary Glenn, birthdate is 2 Dec.1875 Ireland. Also mentions sisters- Mary Glenn, a nurse in London and Mrs. C.S. Hutchinson Desertmartin, Ireland.

Charlotte S. Glenn m.1904 Co.Derry to James Hutchinson. Think this could be William's sister.

So, this is not William Glenn born 1885 (son of William) that I found last night or William John Glenn born 1869 Plumbridge area, Co. Tyrone (son of William and Mary).
