Pant Moel, Gilfach Lane, Kerry
« on: Tuesday 11 September 07 14:26 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to discover when this house was built. It was previously a farm. I think it was built between 1830 and 1850. Does it appear on any census or land registry records.

Thank you,
Simon

Pant Moel was sold to R. P. Long of Dolforgan Hall in 1864. At the time it was a 59-acre farm. It was mostly pasture but also arable, meadow, and wood. The occupier at the time was Mr John Colley. The building plan of Pant Moel in 1864 follows exactly the building plan of what is now Pant Moel Barn, indicating that the current Pant Moel didn't exist in 1864.

We live at Pant Moel now. I've drawn the plans of the house if anyone interested.
