Murphy and Stack in 1901 census - Knockaderry
« on: Thursday 13 September 07 22:39 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find some of my wife's ancestors in the 1901 census for Knockaderry?

John Murphy was born in 1889 (father's name Edmond Murphy).

Mary Stack was born in 1884 (father's name Patrick Stack).

They were were both living in Knockaderry at the time of their marriage in 1920 (St Mary's church, Cloncach), by which time Mary's surname was Cusson, having married previously.

I would be grateful for any help.

The 1911 heads of households has been put online, I can get the records for these  if you see a match for your family

Thank you very much for telling me about that.  I didn't realise that any of the 1911 census was indexed yet.

There are three records that I would really like to see, if you would be so kind as to look them up for me.

They are:

Murphy   Edmond   Knockaderry   Clonelty   Knockderry
Murphy   John   Knockaderry   Clonelty   Knockderry
Cussen   Maurice   Knockaderry   Clonelty   Knockderry

Very many thanks,

Mark

Its a long time from your message but I have answers for you if you're still
trying to find them.  I am Michael Cusack born Michael Murphy. Mary Stack
was my Grandmother. I never met her, as she would  have been dead when I
was born. My mother, ( deceased ) still had a brother , Matt , and a sister, Nell
living in Knockaderry  up until the late 80's.

Hello All,

I just came across this lately looking for my own ancestors.  My grandfather was Matt Murphy from
Knockaderry, Co Limerick.

He was married to Kathleen Lenihan originally from Cork.

He had 3 sons Patrick (my dad) Finbarr, John and one daughter Mary.

It would be great to get in contact so that we could answer some of your questions as you may be able to help me/us too

Looking forward to your reply

Bridget
