I have been researching Ellen's family, the Young's. Ellen's father was Plowman Young. He was a doctor. Ellen's mother Ann Maria was the only grandchild of her grandfather Peter Chambers. Mr. Chambers owned a lot of land and she inherited most of it. This family were not nobles, but they were gentry.
Two of Benjamin and Ellen's sons ended up in New Zealand and had descendants there. The sons were Frederick William Thompson and he became a dentist. You might find information by googling his name. There are articles about him in the NZ newspapers. The other son was Francis James Thompson and he was a lawyer at some point. He drowned in the ocean in NZ. You can find information about him in NZ newspapers. The newspapers are on papers past in New Zealand.
