William Brook Lewis b 1836 Llanelly (Llangennech) To Samuel (or possibly William Samuel) Lewis and Anne. Its mums maiden name I am after but it would be a bonus if you could then find dads birth and parents names. Fingers crossed!

I have Carmarthenshire marriages on disc and there is no other Samuel Lewis or William Samuel; Lewis to an Ann,Anne or Hannah In Llanelly or Llangennech that could fit in with dates so it looks a good match.

Thank you Welsh lady!! This certainly looks good...  but I don't know how you did it! I just realised that I typed Williams d.o.b. wrong,    it should have read 1863 not 36!! Do you think the William born 1836 could be my William/Samuel who was father of William Brook Lewis? Could you please look for the marriage of William (1836) to Ann c 1859? Sorry to mess you around - got too excited at the chance of taking this back a step.

Oh right .The Carms marriages i have are before registration in 1837.Youd have to get the marriage cert.Will look again when i next go for William b-1863 however they may have been Chapel then not Church and dont know what nonconformist records for Llangennech the Archives have.Also it takes  along time trawling through the microfiche.Youd be better off sending for Williams birth cert

Thanks for trying WelshLady. I don't think they were NC as two later became Vicars trained at Llandaff.

If you have any time, I would be grateful for a look up for the Baptism of SARAH HOWELLS born 1789 in Llanegwad. Her mother was Mary, father is unknown.  I don't know whether they were chapel or not.
