I know this is a very old post, I am new to this site so I have only just seen the post.
I have also been researching the HALL family in the Calais online archives and wondered if this information would be of any interest

The Birth registration for Frederick Hall states he was born 9th May 1841 Father Thomas Hall age 23. Mother it looks like Henriette nee Goodhall.
Ref 5MIR 193/8 Births 1832-1846 page1090 reg no 139

He had a sister born 7th Sept it looks like 1843. I can look at the register in more detail if required.
Ref as above but page 1372 reg no 265.

Copies of the original record can be printed from the Archives website.
Croot, Pell, Titmus, Mellors Holmes, Roberts, Grey ( From Gamlingay to Derbyshire)
 Pointez,(France. Notts & Derbys)
Searle, Clark, Hall, Ringrose, Flatters, Howard, Holmes Robert, Lindsey, & Kettleband (Mostly Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire)
Weldon,( Westmeath Eire)
My favorite family names: Surname Hubleday and the most impressive My 3rd G, Grandmother. Genevieve Euphrosine Charlotte DUBOIS !
