Can anyone please find Enoch Hickinbottom,  Hickinbotham or similair on 1871 approx 7 years old with his parents. He may have been born in Bilston/Portobello. Not sure on parents details, possibly Enoch and Prudence but may be wrong as haven't found Enoch's birth certificate. Enoch later married Martha Barnett and on 1891 were living in Rushall, Walsall with thier children, but couldn't find them on 1901. Would be very grateful for any help on Enoch, Parents and siblings as there were 11 up to 1902.

There are also some census surname indexes available at www.walsall.gov.uk , which may turn up your family name. I had a quick look but could not spot them.

Pauline you've made my day! Thank you so much for this I really appreciate it. It's definately the right family and Enoch and Martha are my great grandparents,  John my grandfather and think you may also have found my great great grandparents.

Confession time Julia, I found them just doing a free surname search. I found Enoch first, and then asked for all others of the same surname. (Using the additional place details to add in the Walsall bit).

Thankfully he wasn't called John or we'd never have found him! My guess is that it is all one household. Very co-operative of them when they have the grandparents in the house!

I haven't any 1901 credits going spare at the moment, to get an address for you. If you do do the lookup on the family, try to use a voucher as you get 3/6 months to use it rather than 48 hours on a card session (now you know what they are transcribed as).
