Could someone pls help

Hi Rootschatters,
   I am hoping someone might be able to help me please.  I am trying to find Rush family in Scotland.
  My ggrandfather John Rush was born 1894 Kirkcaldy to Henry & Mary Potter Rush.  Most other children were born in Glasgow, Bo'ness areas.  I'm wondering if anyone has census or BMD resources and can do a lookup please.  Daughter Elizabeth was born 1884 Borrowstouness Parish Bo'ness so they might be there in 1881 census.  Margaret Ellen born Bo'ness 1887,  Jim Potter Rush born 1880/1890 Bo'ness.  They may be there for the 1891 census.  Other children born 1898/1900 Isabella Rush Bo'ness & Robert Hall Rush 1899 Bo'ness & might be there for 1901 census.  Any help would be so greatly appreciated.  Cheers Wallaby

Only one Henry Rush in 1881 Scottish census, wife was Elizabeth.
Also,  surname Rush,  a great majority of them gave birthplace as Ireland.

I live in kirkcaldy and go to the local LDS i can lookup info for you but it will have to wait untill it opens after the New Year now as it closed this week for the holidays.


Also do you anything about your Mary Potter i am Desended from Potters my Great Grandmother was a Agnes Lamb Potter she was born in Edinburgh 1889 but lived most of her later days in Kirkcaldy.

Hi Liz,  Thank you for your reply.  Does it show an age or any children on that census.  It's quite possible Mary went by Elizabeth.  A long shot but curious.  Thx Wallaby 

Hi Angela,  My Mary Potter  was born in  Newcastle upon Tyne Eng.  Her and Henry moved to Scotland sometime around 1880.  They lived in Scotland for abt 20 years before coming to Canada.  At this time I am uncertain of her family such as parents & siblings.  Thank you for your help.  If & when I find out anything on her I will post.  Wallaby
