Transciption of theFornham St Martin Church Rate Assessments 1820
« on: Sunday 14 October 07 22:38 BST (UK) »
Transcribed by me from records in the Bury St Edmunds Records Office: FL 510/5/3 (i)  Unfortunately I can't include the full transcription because of the forum's 5000 character per message max, so just the property details are shown, not the rates paid.   The first rate was at 1/6 in the pound; the second rate for 6d.  The first rate raised £114 19s 0¼d; the second rate £38 6s 4d.  The sums shown below are the amounts at which the properties were assessed.

If anyone wants to know the rates paid by one or more indiviuals (and your duodecimal arithmetic isn't what it was to work it out  ;)), just get in touch.
