I have questions over Elizabeth Goldegay which I have to sort out and have discovered another name ', in my Tree as ' Massinghead'. in the Pedigrees as Massingbird and it appears in reality Massingberd - which was a Surname adopted by the father, needs work. A couple of second Marriages have appeared from records held by Cambridge RO and I thought I would have a quite day !.

I have found these bits this evening on the Cambridge RO website which I am sure you know about but theres new info which I did not know. There more on there .

In my Tree I had Thomas Tweed Married Ann Massinghead ( as did others over 330 odd years ) ...now it seems it was Massenberd and even that was a name adopted by her father,,..I am just about to exchange messages with someone in that line ..the family are from Lincolnshire.

send em as I have documents to send.

Is anyone researching the Pykes in Ireland.  I am sure there is a connection to the Pyke family from the Short family as I have found a Robert Pyke mentioned several times in a deed in the Register of deeds.  On refers to a Robert Pyke of Park Tipperary, the other makes mention of a connection to  Gurtnapissy in Curaheen, Upper Ormond.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  These deeds are between 1710 and 1750.  Thanks Sue Australia.

I have recently received a Pyke Pedigree Chart  from a contact in Australia, researched by a Pyke descendent. I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to verify the information contained, using the web, web trees, a specialist search engine and trawling the Trove AustralianNewspaper Archive.
Yesterday I found that the Tasmanian Archive have free to view and download Wills, I found 21 connected to the Pyke Tree.
At this time I have exhausted my resources and have put the results on my Tree 'The Last Knight' on Rootsweb World Connect Project.
Remember that Tweed changed their name to Pyke to inherit the Birdbrook Estate in Essex. I also draw your attention to the Layston Church website which has information linking the Tweed / Pyke and Crouch familys.
The Tweed line I have back to about 1498.
This is my 14th year and STILL keep finding them !
