When do you use the ChatRoom?
« on: Monday 27 December 04 20:25 GMT (UK) »
I am interested to know the best times for using the RootsChat Chat Room.  Please indicate which two hour slot you prefer so we can perhaps set up some organised chats again.  You can choose up to 3 time slots.

Happy chatting!  :D

I voted for 8 pm - 10 pm & 10 pm - midnight - they are my favourite times because there's always lots of people chatting then!!!!  I would love to stay on after midnight but am usually to tired and goggle-eyed :D :D

I've voted that I don't use the chatroom.  Would like to do so, but the time differences between Australia and England make it pretty difficult!  Not much that can be done about this, I fear.

I normally use the Chatroom between 8 and midnight, not all that time, but between those hours.  Rubbish on TV and I like the relaxed chat along with the chance to help someone instantly.

Yes, I see that time differences are a problem but we often get Australia, Tasmania, Canada and USA in during the evening.   If you have a specific problem which you want to discuss why not put a note on that board?  "All people from X place please be in the Chat room between 1 and 2 pm Friday ?th Jan for a problem solving forum"  If you get half a dozen at least that is a start.

This site is open to suggestions and we make it what it is with the help of the team.

Thanks to them all & Happy New Year from Norfolk.

Hi Marie

I chat with quite a few people from Australia in the chatroom, but realise timings are difficult.  What time could you make it if we arranged something to fit in with you?

Best wishes

Hi Ticker,

I usually drop in to the chat room sometime between midnight and 3am UK time.

I mostly find that I'm in there all on me tod!

I hope I'm not chasing 'em away!

Hi India

No I'm sure you're not chasing us away!  ;D

I have seen you in there a couple of times - hopefully we can encourage a few more to stay in after midnight (the most popular time seems to be 8 to midnight GMT) if we know our American friends will be in there then.

Best wishes

I voted for the 3 slots between 6 p.m. & 8 p.m. - that is when I usually 'pop in'.

I see no reason why our overseas members should not set up their own chat room meetings at times convenient to them - at least then they would get to speak to somebody!   The Chat Room is there all the time for all to use!
