Barton & Cleminson (1800s)
« on: Friday 02 November 07 09:51 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for more info on the following;

Edmund Barton (of Warton), born 1807; married in 1830 to, Margaret Cleminson (of Warton), born 1809 (all sourced from the IGI on the LDS site)

I have them living in Milnthorpe in the 1851 and he is described as a grocer.

Is anyone able to lookup parish records for more details?

Thanks in advance.

Lee

Hi Lee,

Have been unable to find baptism for Edmund, but transcription of marriage at Warton can be viewed at www.lan-opc.org.uk

Cleminson witnesses at the marriage most likely indicates that Margaret was baptised in Heversham in 1806, daughter to Thomas. Matthew (1802) and James (1810) are presumably her brothers, sons of Thomas, and Elizabeth may have been a cousin (2 also baptised in Heversham)?

Matthew's probable marriage may also be seen in Warton in 1831.

Hope this is helpful.

Good Hunting

Chris
