Looking for Mollison
« on: Sunday 28 October 07 18:11 GMT (UK) »
My name is John , I was born in Belfeld ( the Netherlands ) in the late 195o's, my mother ( Nellie Knops ) told me, that my father is a Mollison, who served in Germany ( WILDENRATH ), in the army, his age was then 19 - 21 years old, I 'm adopted by my new "father" and I'm named after him, both my parents are died now, but my blood seeks, to search / looking for my real father. Please can / will anyone, family, relatives, contact me, maybe I have brothers, sisters, nices, or nephews. Please help me with this, don't be afraid to send me a message, hopefully I hear from you very soon......................I hope my dad is still alive !!!!!!
The last adress, I know is in Hillocks of Gordy or Perthshire or Carsie !!!??

PLEASE, CAN / WILL ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS

My email address : removed, to prevent spamming and other abuses - please use the Pm system to reply to this thread as it concerns someone who might still be living.

You could start by finding out which regiments (or part of them) were in Germany at that time.
The 'armed forces' board on here might be a good place to put an enquiry.

Click on RootsChat.com at top of board; scroll down to 'armed forces' section.  It may be that someone on there can help.

I am awfully sorry, I am unable to suggest anything else.

Maybe he was in a Scottish regiment that was in Germany.

here is the link anyway

Iain is a scottish version of John.

There's certainly an Iain Mollison currently living in XXX ; he would be about the right age as well!

Let me know if this helps!
