Continued...  William was allegedly a coachman to the Countess of Londonderry and much given to drink.  On a particular occasion he managed to drive the local doctor off the road, refusing to apologise as he maintained that on this particular occasion he was not drunk!

The consequence was that he and the family were shipped off to Durham to work in the pits owned by the Londonderry family.

As I say no proof, but if anything rings any bells, I may be able to identify which of several possible Margaret's is my forebear

A possibility for the other birthplace is Tullynagee - a town land in Kilmood parish on its boundary with Killinchy.
