Marriage of Mary Anne WALSHE
« on: Wednesday 29 December 04 21:20 GMT (UK) »
Mary Anne WALSHE was born 20 Dec 1863 in Kilcar, Co Donegal.

At an unknown date, she married James Watson, born 20 Feb 1835, Killybegs, Co Donegal and between them they had 13 children.   This was not James's first marriage as he had 13 children with a Mary LANGAN, who has been traced.   Co-incidence - 13 children to each ?

Presently I cannot find anything about Mary Anne, nor anything about her marriage to James.   I have also tried various spellings of Walshe and while there are many with the name Walsh, non seem to be her.

It is starting to look like untill I can establish that she existed and married James, I will be unable to locate details of their children.

Just wondered if anyone has Watson's and or Walshe in their family trees, could you have a wee peek to see if a posssible connection exists.   There are so many genealogy sites on the net it fair makes your head spin searching them all.

Have a great New Year but don't come down to New Zealand, as it is cold wet and very windy this year - no summer at all.

Good Morning Tobias,

Have you looked at the school records contained in this site ? It might also be worth while using Google to search for other school records in the county.

This next site shows Watsons in the county in 1857 when Griffiths Valuation was conducted in the county. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php

Good Luck with the research, Christopher
