Why cant i find My Mordan
« on: Thursday 30 December 04 23:20 GMT (UK) »
Morgan Mathew is last known by me to be age 25 in 1904 at my grandfathers Marriage in Blackburn it is known that he was a teacher in the east end of london.Morgan and Grandfather were brothers and both lived in london. For a long time now i have tried to find a marriage or death year for Morgan. So far with no luck,I was thinking if he was in the first world war and maybe died in another country. Would his death be registered? or might it be because Free B.M.D & U.K B.M.D havent transcribed London or Midlesex yet. I am stumped :(

If he died WW1 then his death may well be recorded by the commonwealth war graves:

http://www.cwgc.org

or in the GRO WW1 death registers index which can be searched online at the following pay per view site:

http://www.1837online.com/Trace2web/

Select the overseas section once you have signed in/registered.

I suppose there is always the possibility that he emigrated if no record of his death can be found in England.

Good luck
