DAVIDSON, George - 1871 Liverpool
« on: Friday 31 December 04 04:35 GMT (UK) »
George was born in Castle Carrock in 1845 and may have died about 1878 (this is uncertain).   George, his wife Jane (Longtown) and their sons John and Philip T. appear in the 1871 UK census record on Buckinham Sq. in Liverpool.   Philip T. was born there in 1870.

George is the brother of a direct relation, Isaac Davidson, who sailed to the US from Liverpool in March 1887.   Isaac's parents retired to Dalton-in-Furness.  His father appears in the 1901 census, living with his sister, Margaret, and her husband.  Isaac's mother died in I900 and is buried in Ireleth, Lanca.

I hope to do further research on the various family members and find out if more of them lived there.  Or if Liverpool was only a "jumping off place" for Canada and US.  The Davidsons and Robsons (Isaac's wife) are maternal relation.  My paternal relation also left from Liverpool.

I look forward to any information or guidance.  Thanks, RedFox
