John Woodcock

Hi all Rootchatters..
   
       I am really stuck , and wonder if any one can please help........
i have John Woodcock.. born according to his marriage certificate in 1861.. 1862..   (he married in 1885)  his father was named as Samuel.. John  was a private  in the Royal Munster fusiliers..
      I posted on the army part on rootschat .. but to no avail.. i have read up on the munsters.. and it looks like John disembarked at pembroke dock 1883..
on the 1891 census .. he is with Annie his wife in pembroke dock.. ..in 1901 he was in senghenydd glamorgan with the family..

my problem is i have researched John and Samuel.. and just cannot find them in births or deaths.. so i cannot trace further back than 1885.. any ideas please.. ( ive tried igi.. ) i'd really like to solve this... so please can you help...
