Hi Arronroots,
sorry no joy with the first Mary,saving the other just incase there is a link somewhere! I have studied the birth certs etc of this family again and some stuff just does not add up. If they were married in Gateshead on Tyne in 1865 you would think that children would be born within a couple of years , but the first child is born in 1876.Second child born 1879 and this is the date of the second marriage on 29/10/1879 in Portobello Edinburgh.I think my ancestors may have been pulling the wool over someones eyes! On the third childs birth certificate it says
Edward Robson Father
coachbuilder journeyman
domicil Gateshead on tyne
Jane Robson Mother
MS Taylor
1865 Gateshead on Tyne {no date}
This bunch have had me going round in circles for ages but no doubt I will fit all together eventually
regards

Hello...am not sure you are still interested in Mr. RObson.  He was my great grandfather, his daughter being Jane .  She married William Alexander gordon and they immigrated to Canada in 1927.  There is definitely something fishy about him.  I think Jane Taylor was Jane Williamson.  I think she may
have been married to a Taylor.  He died in 1905 and Jane died in 1916.
