you can pay your £6 50 or to IoM Reg office (I'm all for it - saves my taxes) but it might well be cheaper to borrow the Mormon films of the official transcription of registers and make your own copy - the Official 'Birth' (ie a bapt pre 1878) and Marriage cert will contain no additional information other than which is on that film.
If you do order certs just give then parish, name + dates - they are generally very friendly

Hi Frances and Tati
I would just thought i would like to let  you know that i have my great great grand fathers death certificate for william patrick beedon who died in 1903 aged 55 which makes him born c 1848. as a paper ruler from 5 exley street and his son nathan was the witness
As i am new to this ancestry thing i have learned a few things
1. persons don't always give their full name only once is patrick used in a census   [ 1861 ] all the other time is just william beedon.
2. Free BMD does not have all the death records but is the easiest search found him on ancestry.co.uk
3. Various spellings of beedon
4. keep digging for the source to back up your details
5. ask on the internet for help
so once again Frances and Tati thanks for your help I may be asking again

best regards
kevin :) ;D

Hi there,
Don't know if you will get this, but I am searching the Isabella Curphey and Thomas Kinvig (both b ~1786 IOM) you mention in one of your other threads. I see you have found them in the 1841 and 1851 IOM census but for the life of me I can't see them. Is there any reason for this please ? Catherine's sister, Eliza (b 1815) is my gt gt grandmother. She was also a Milliner. Her married daughter and children came to New Zealand in 1879.

I would be very grateful if you have any information on Isabella Curphey and Thomas Kinvig please. I have his birth date and their marriage dates only and an unconvincing list of their children. I don't have the Ann listed who appears to be another daughter, providing 2 Isabella's Beedon grandchildren.

Regards
Jocelyn

and guess where little John was in 1851?

they are definitely there in 1841 look up Thomas Kinvig tanner + saddler Arbory St Castletown
Ancestry has a few omitted pages but I doubt if two censuses have linked omissions so suspect your search procedure

the Ann looks rather like the IGI entry for Thos Kinvig + Cath Costean Malew 18100506 - there are no other children I know to this couple I havn't checked this period in the register so not sure if a confused transcription error -  Thos + Isable m  Braddan 18090528

I have only 5 ch - there are two Eliza's possibly one was buried as an infant in Arbory but yoy need check Arbory burial reg for details
