Prices, Breconshire
« on: Monday 26 November 07 11:57 GMT (UK) »
Hi all, just joined, hope you can help:

I'm looking for any information on life and the resting place of Richard Price, born 1794, who was the landlord of the Storey Arms in circa 1835 to his death in 1847. His wife Mary took over the Inn until at least 1861.

I have found 2 entries which could be their marriage in 1819 in Garthbrengy and 1823 (which could be a little late as their first son John was born in 1823!) in Llanfihangel Cwm Du.

Richard's birthplace was Llanfihangel Nant Bran and Mary's was Llanhamlach. Are there any parish records available to purchase somewhere that I can get my hands on as I'm in Devon, which is a long way from the Powys records office!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Steve

Richard Price died N.6,1847, buried at St.Peter's, Llanhamlach.  This stone(M.I.109) also has a Hughes family-his in laws?
