Need help finding marriage information for Roger Mc Cormick-Mary Darragh . Roger and Mary had a son named James and he was baptized in Culfeightrin RC church in Ballvoy in 1850.  Any info on Roger and Mary would be greatly appreciated. Ive searched for 5 years and I am stuck at this point. Thanks !

Welcome to Rootschat.
Civil registration of Catholic marriages didn't begin until 1864 so for earlier marriages you need to look for church records (if they still exist).
The church the son was baptised in may or may not be where the parents married (usually but not always the bride's church). Have your checked that church for a marriage?

IGI lists 3 baptisms for children for Roger McCormick & Mary Darragh- all baptised at Culfeightrin RC Church:
Michael bapt. 29 Apr.1832, Dan (same date) & James bapt. 9 Nov.1849.
However, all 3 are submitted records which need to be treated with caution but it does give you somewhere to start.
If the IGI entries are correct then it would seem that Roger and Mary were probably married before 1832 which could mean (if they were married in that church) that the records don't go back that far.
Not sure where you are but PRONI have microfilmed some records from Culfeightrin R.C. Church but my list doesn't have the details. Coleraine Library also have copies of the records on microfilm but LDS catalogue does not.

Thank you so much for this information! Roger is my gggg grandfather. Rogers son James moved to Port Glasgow and married Elizabeth Kerry in 1872 in Port Glasgow. So going back in Irelands records is my next step and I was hoping a marriage certificate for Roger Mc Cormick and Mary Darragh would provide more info. I live in USA and dont have any access to any records there in Antrim. I knew that Culfeightrins early marriage records would be the next step but didnt know how or where to access them.

As I said, the IGI records are submitted entries and may not be reliable.

I sure hope you still visit this Website, mikymc, in 2016!
My g-g-g-grandfather was Irishman Roger McCormick, who married Mary Darragh.
His son, my g-g-grandfather John McCormick (born circa 1840), relocated to Port Glasgow, Scotland. One of his children was Mary McCormick, my g-g-grandmother, born May 30, 1858.
I have more concurrent and later information.
Can we share?

My great great grandfather was John McCormick B c 1839 who married Mary Jane Laverty (b1839)
They lived in Culfeighton area so I hope that we are linked. Do get in touch if that is the case.
Their children, as far as I know, were mary, Patrick, Jane, Daniel, Henry, Patrick & Margaret
Look forward to hearing from you

Lynne
