Welcome to Rootschat Chelle 71  ;D

I have Quite a large amount of Rance in my Tree, my Great Great grandmother was a Rance but mine all seem to be mainly from Cheshire 1829 onwards.

Th earliest Rance I  have is Thomas Rance born1807 Hintelsham Suffolk married Catherine Bennett born 1807  from Standon Hertfordshire at st. Giles Norwich in 1829

Probably not much help to you but thought I would mention it  ;)

Hi Crystalight,

thanks for replying to ,my thread most of my Rances are from Stevenage and the surrounding area, i just cant seem to find any connections this side of 1874, its like the relations back then didnt have any children and the name died when they did....

There must be more Rances out there somewhere .............

Hi Chelle,

Although not researching the Rance family, I have the name in my tree.

Richard Godfrey 1816 Ware married Eliza Rance 1822 W.G.C, her parents were James 1791 and Elizabeth. Can provide her siblings.

Hope this helps   Margaret
