Hi
I have just started to research our Findlay / Aitken connections in Fetteresso & would appreciate any help

My Wife's G grandfather is James Findlay born 1840, his wife was Jane (Wilson?) Park born 1845.

They lived at Old Hillock for the 1871 &1881 census's

I am also looking into a connection between James Findlay & William Findlay born 1877 & his parents James Findlay & Isabella Pyper.

Thanks in advance for your help & suggestions

John

Dear John
I am sorry I am unable to offer any help in connecting your Findlay relatives. I have no Findlay's in my family tree. Although I have several Duthie lines I have as yet been unable to make a Findlay connection. There is a Duthie connection with Ann Duthie and William Findlay but she is not one of my Duthie so far.
I have looked at your Findlay's and it appears one set of relatives originate in Ayrshire as far back as 1783 and the other in Kincardine going back to 1752.
I wish you every success in your research.
Joan

Hi john, just come across this post. James Findlay and Isabella Pyper were my great grandparents.

What info are you trying to find?
