Hi Karma,

my great Granddad was a Prossor with most of his family originating from Hay-on -Wye they moved east to Herefordshite and were mainly in the Staunton on Wye area before they again moved towards Burghill, Portway and Lyde. My grandfathers mother was a Williams who are also in the Burghill area. If you want any more info please let me know...:)

Re Foxy1958's reply. My name is Prosser and my grandfather lived at the common Ewyas Harold. My father used to mention an Uncle Wallace.

Are we part of the same family?

're: Foxy1958. My husband is the greatgrandson of John Harold Prosser and Edith Hannah Prosser of Prospect Place, Ewyas Harold Common and he is a second cousin of Grahamhp above. We have been to the church in Longtown and found a headstone for Wallis Price Prosser and his wife Miriam Kate Prosser, could this be your grandparents? Also one of my husband's great uncles was called Sydney Wallace Prosser, the Wallis could be a family name, maybe my husband's great grandfather was one of your grandfather's brother??
